Katelyn Rhodes - Soloist w/Texas Ballet Theater

Katelyn was the second dancer from Texas Ballet Theater that I was able to photograph while in Texas. Right after my session with Hannah, I made my way from Dallas Fort Worth and drove to Dallas.

When I was planning these shoots I was really wanting to have minimal and geometric shapes. I was happy to find the Dallas City Hall as a location. While there was something with the World Cup happening down the road and it being a Sunday, Katelyn and I had the place all to ourselves. With the occasional human walking by, we were luckily left alone and without interruption.

I was able to get 2 rolls with this photoshoot but the ones below were the absolute favorites. We did one roll in the shade with the building and then another I felt the need to take on some harsher lighting. So I had Katelyn use her sun glasses so we didn’t have any sort of harsh shadows or hardcore squinting.

To wrap up my fun and busy day in DFW and Dallas, I made a stop at Buc-ee’s…if you know, you know the amazing snacks that await.
